Srinagar, July 29 (JKNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday delivered a fiery address in the Lok Sabha during the special discussion on Operation Sindoor, hailing the joint military action as a decisive strike on the epicentres of terrorism in Pakistan and declaring that India now responds to terror “on its own terms, in its own way, and at a time of its choosing.”

Opening his address, Prime Minister Modi as per news agency JKNS said in Lok Sabha, Operation Sindoor was India’s befitting response to the brutal April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 people, mostly tourists, and a pony operator. “When I talk about Vijayotsav, I want to make it clear it is the celebration of reducing the terrorist headquarters to dust. This is the celebration of fulfilling the promise of Sindoor. I am standing before this gathering with victory in mind, to present India’s position with strength and clarity. And to those who fail to see India’s side, I am here to hold up a mirror. I am here to echo the voice and sentiments of 140 crore Indians,” he said.

He said that after April 22, he deliberately used English publicly so that the world understood India’s resolve. “I said, we will destroy terrorists, hum aatankiyon ko mitti me mila denge,” Modi recalled.

Says, Pakistan Issued Nuclear Threats, But Could Do Nothing

The Prime Minister said Pakistan had an inkling of India’s action and tried to issue nuclear threats, but failed. “Pakistan had some inkling of Indian action; they started issuing nuclear threats. But they could do nothing when their terror targets were hit. Our armed forces taught them such a lesson that the masters of terrorism are still losing their sleep over it,” Modi said.

Says, Airstrikes Destroyed Camps in 22 Minutes, Airbases Still in ICU

PM Modi said India’s armed forces executed a swift and precise strike that destroyed major terror camps deep inside Pakistan. “We destroyed terror sites deep inside Pakistan within 22 minutes to avenge April 22 Pahalgam attack. Terror camps in Bahawalpur and Muridke were completely obliterated. Humne Pakistan ke kone kone me aatanki addon ko dhuan dhuan kar diya,” he said.

He said Pakistani airbases are still “in the ICU” after India’s strikes. “India demonstrated its technical capabilities by striking Pakistani airbases, which are still reeling from the attack. We scattered their missiles and drones like straws,” Modi said, adding that Pakistan launched 1,000 missiles and drones, all of which were destroyed mid-air by India’s air defence.

Adampur Airbase & Global Praise for India’s Air Defence, PM Modi
Modi said Pakistan tried to mislead the world by spreading lies about damage at Adampur Airbase. “Pakistan lied about the Adampur Airbase. I reached there the very next day and exposed their lies. Our air defence system is now being talked about across the world for the way it repulsed Pakistan’s attacks,” he said.

Sindoor to Sindhu: India’s New Doctrine of Response
The PM laid down India’s new three-point doctrine: “If there is a terrorist attack on India, we will respond on our terms, in our own way, and at a time of our choosing. From Sindoor to Sindhu, Pakistan now knows the price of misadventure. Operation Sindoor has made it clear that terrorists and the government sheltering them will have to pay a heavy price,” he said.

Pahalgam Attackers Killed in Yesterday’s Operation Mahadev strike
The Prime Minister also referred to Operation Mahadev, which killed three terrorists. PM Modi said, “Yesterday, our forces concluded Operation Mahadev by killing those responsible for Pahalgam.

But I’m surprised instead of praising our forces, some people mocked the timing. They even linked it to Sawan ka Somwar. Is this the level of their frustration?” Modi asked.

PM Modi recalled that after the Pahalgam attack, a BSF jawan was captured by Pakistan. “They thought Modi was cornered. They began spreading baseless rumours about me. But that jawan returned safely with dignity. Similarly, when Abhinandan was captured during Balakot, they thought ‘Modi fas gaya’. But we brought him back too,” he said.

Pakistan Begged India to Stop: PM Modi
Modi said Pakistan pleaded with India to halt Operation Sindoor. “After suffering huge losses, Pakistan’s DGMO came pleading, ‘Don’t hit us anymore, we can’t suffer any longer.’ We had made it clear from the start that this was a limited operation and would not escalate, but the damage had been done,” he said.

Revealing behind-the-scenes diplomatic exchanges, Modi said, “On the night of May 9, the Vice President of the United States tried to get in touch with me 3-4 times. But I was in a meeting with our armed forces. Later, I called him back. He warned me of a big attack from Pakistan. I told him if Pakistan attacks, our response will be much bigger. We respond to bullets with cannons.”

World Supported India, Only 3 Countries sSupported Pakistan: PM Modi

The PM said India enjoyed overwhelming global support during Operation Sindoor. “Out of 193 countries, only three supported Pakistan. No country in the world asked us to stop. The world saw India’s strength and self-reliance,” he said.

Modi lashed out at Congress, accusing them of echoing Pakistan’s propaganda. “Congress leaders called Operation Sindoor a tamasha. Two days after April 22, they mocked me saying, ‘Where is Modi?’ They used the killings of innocent people for selfish politics. This ‘chichhorapan’ demoralised our soldiers. Congress has been an expert at giving clean chits to Pakistan. They once sought proof for surgical strikes, now they question why Sindoor stopped. Wah re bayan bahaduron!” he said.

He added that Congress even questioned the timing of Operation Mahadev. “They were desperate to politicise even this. They can get headlines, but they won’t earn a place in the hearts of Indians,” he said.

PM Modi said that over the last decade, his government had reformed the armed forces and opened the defence sector to private players, with hundreds of startups many run by women now contributing to India’s capabilities. “During Congress rule, there was no thought of making the forces self-reliant. They looked for ‘chances’ in every deal. Today, they question why we haven’t taken back PoK. But whose failure was it that Pakistan occupied it in the first place? Congress lost that chance when we had their land and soldiers in custody,” he said.

‘There Can Be a Comma, But No Full Stop’: PM Modi

Concluding his address, PM Modi said, “Operation Sindoor has made it clear: terrorists and those sheltering them will pay a heavy price. There can be a comma, but no full stop. India now responds on its own terms, and our enemies know it.” (JKNS)
