Jammu, July 30 (JKNS): Authorities in Doda and Udhampur districts have ordered the closure of all government and private schools, including CBSE institutions, on July 31, 2025, due to the prevailing inclement weather conditions.
According to two separate orders issued by the Chief Education Officers (CEOs) of Doda and Udhampur, as per news agency JKNS, the directives follow advisories from the Meteorological Department warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall and increased risk of flash floods in the districts.
The orders, issued on the directions of the respective Deputy Commissioners, stated that the decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff.
The CEO Udhampur’s circular emphasized that any negligence in implementing the closure will be viewed seriously. Meanwhile, the CEO Doda directed all concerned to ensure strict compliance with the order. ( JKNS )
