Poonch, July 30 (JKNS): An encounter started between security forces and terrorists in Kasaliyan area of Poonch district on Wednesday.
A top police officer told news agency JKNS that a joint team of the Army and J&K Police cordoned off the area after receiving inputs about terrorist presence. “Two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists are believed to be trapped,” they added.
During the searches, security forces came under intense fire by terrorists, triggering the encounter, official said adding that the operation is in progress, and further details are awaited. (JKNS)
