Rajouri, July 30 (JKNS): Authorities in Rajouri have issued strict directions prohibiting the use of unsafe and structurally compromised school buildings during the ongoing rainy season.
According to a circular issued by the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri, as per news agency JKNS, the order follows the directions of the District Development Commissioner Rajouri. It clearly states that the use of dilapidated and unsafe school buildings is strictly prohibited, and any violation will make the concerned officials personally responsible for any untoward incidents.
The circular further directs all Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) and Heads of Institutions (HOIs) to furnish consolidated details of unsafe, structurally compromised, and flood-prone school buildings (PS & MS) to the CEO’s office by or before 2 PM today. The information must be provided in Excel format via WhatsApp on the given official number.
The CEO emphasized that this is an urgent matter and aims to enable the district administration to take preventive measures in time. Failure to comply with the directions will invite personal accountability for the defaulting officials. (JKNS)
