Srinagar, August 19, 2025: Senior BJP Leader and DDC Member Srinagar, Er. Aijaz Hussain, accompanied by different delegations, today met the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Shri Akshay Labroo, and raised several important public issues for immediate consideration.

During the meeting, Er. Aijaz Hussain discussed the long-pending matter of shopkeepers and vendors at Panthachowk, the jurisdictional issue of Padshahibagh—where locals have been deprived of basic civic benefits due to the absence of jurisdiction under either the Municipality or the Rural Development Department—and the demand for deployment of night staff at PHC Lasjan to ensure round-the-clock healthcare services.

He further raised the demand for widening of the road from Khadi Mill Gate Allochibagh up to the end of Khadi Mill, urged the administration to expedite macadamization of roads in Lalchowk Constituency, and stressed the need for dredging and construction of retaining walls on the embankments of the irrigation canal from Balhama up to Dov, Balhama.

Deputy Commissioner Shri Akshay Labroo was kind enough to listen patiently to the issues of public importance and assured that all genuine demands will be resolved in the coming days.

Speaking after the meeting, Er. Aijaz Hussain said:
“Development and public welfare are my top priorities. I will continue to raise every genuine issue of my people with the administration until concrete solutions are achieved. The voice of the common people must always be heard and acted upon.”
