Srinagar, Aug 20 (JKNS): Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial (JLNM) Hospital in Srinagar has been conferred ‘Quality Certification’ under the MusQan initiative following a comprehensive external assessment at the national level.
According to the details accessed by news agency JKNS, the evaluation was carried out on July 7–8, 2025, covering the hospital’s Special Newborn Care Unit, Paediatric OPD, and Paediatric Ward. The facility met all prescribed certification criteria and secured 88.22 percent, qualifying it for the recognition.
The certification was awarded by the National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), which lauded the state health authorities and hospital staff for achieving high benchmarks in service delivery. The award was given specifically because JLNM Hospital demonstrated strong compliance in patient care protocols, hygiene, and infrastructure standards.
The NHSRC has further directed the hospital to work on identified areas of improvement and submit periodic reports to the State Quality Assurance Unit to ensure sustained excellence in healthcare. Officials said this milestone is expected to enhance confidence in public health facilities across Jammu and Kashmir. (JKNS)
