Budgam, Aug 22 (JKNS): A Minor girl drowned to death while another girl was reacued in Sukhnag Nallah near Azad Foot Bridge in Peth Kanihama area Budgam district on Friday.
Official sources told news agency JKNS, the victims have been identified as Rabia Manzoor, daughter of Manzoor Ahmad Dar, aged about 12 years, and Runak Farooq, daughter of Farooq Ahmad Ganaie, also aged about 12 years.
Rabia was rescued in a critical condition and shifted to SDH Magam, where doctors declared her brought dead, they added.
Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation initiated. (JKNS)
