Qazigund, Aug (JKNS): MLA Anantnag West, Abdul Majeed Bhat Larmi, on Saturday inaugurated the macadamisation work on the Shampora via Panzath, Wanpora road, a crucial stretch aimed at improving road connectivity in the region. The developmental project is part of the ongoing infrastructure initiatives being carried out under the Roads & Buildings (R&B) Department.
Speaking to media on the occasion, MLA Larmi reiterated the commitment of the Jammu and Kashmir Government, led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, towards the overall welfare and development of the Union Territory. He emphasized the administration’s focus on ensuring better road connectivity, potable drinking water, uninterrupted electricity, and access to essential services for all citizens.
“Our government is dedicated to addressing the basic needs of the people across Jammu and Kashmir. Projects like this road macadamisation are a step toward ensuring better accessibility and improved living standards, especially in rural and semi-urban areas,” said Larmi.
The MLA also lauded the efforts of Manzoor Ahmad, Executive Engineer of R&B Division Qazigund, for his dedication and dynamic leadership in ensuring the timely completion of development projects in the area. “Officers like Manzoor Ahmad are assets to the administration. His commitment to his responsibilities sets a benchmark in public service,” Larmi added.
