AGS Hajinar Marks 26 Years of Excellence with Cultural Festivities

Tangdar, Aug 27 (JKNS): Army Goodwill School (AGS) Hajinar celebrated its 26th Annual Day with zeal and enthusiasm, marked by colorful performances and the presence of distinguished guests.

The event was presided over by SK Pardhan, Commander Shakti Vijay Brigade & Chairman AGS, along with Deputy Commander Sudeep Bose, Vice Chairman AGS. The celebration also witnessed the participation of civil officials, Army officers, parents, teachers, ZEO Tangdar, agriculture officers of Karnah, range officers, and principals of various higher secondary schools from the region.

The programme began with a welcome address by Principal AGS, Khawaja Aftab, who extended heartfelt greetings to the dignitaries and highlighted the school’s achievements over the years. He praised the dedication of teachers, students, and parents in making AGS Hajinar a center of learning and excellence in the border region.

Around 500 students participated in the event, showcasing their talents in a variety of cultural programmes coordinated by Mr. Javaid Ahmad Mir. Traditional and modern performances, skits, and songs won loud applause from the audience.

The highlight of the function was the felicitation of toppers from each class, ranging from LKG to Class 12th, for their academic brilliance and hard work.

In his address, Commander SK Pardhan appreciated the efforts of the school in nurturing young minds and emphasized that education is the strongest tool for empowerment. Deputy Commander Sudeep Bose also praised the discipline, creativity, and performance of students.

The event concluded with an interactive session over tea with members of the civil society, reflecting the strong bond between the Army and the local community. (JKNS)
