Tokyo, Aug 29 (JKNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday expressed gratitude to the Indian community in Japan, saying he was deeply moved by their warmth and affection.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister, as per news agency JKNS, wrote that the diaspora’s commitment to preserving India’s cultural roots while contributing to Japanese society was truly commendable.
“In a few hours from now, I will be interacting with a group of business leaders with a focus on adding vigour to India–Japan trade and investment ties,” Modi said.
The Prime Minister had earlier reached Tokyo on the first leg of his two-nation visit. He was received at the airport by top Japanese officials, Indian Ambassador to Japan Sibi George, and the Japanese Ambassador to India. Modi is scheduled to hold wide-ranging discussions with Japanese leadership before heading to China for the SCO Summit.(JKNS)
