Bear Attack in Pahalgam leaves 12-year-old Critically Injured

Srinagar: A 12-year-old boy was critically injured after being attacked by a wild bear near his residence in Awora, Pahalgam, on Sunday evening.

Reports reaching news agency JKNS, the boy has been identified as Altaf Ahmad Khatana, son of Faqeer Mohammad Khatana.

He was initially rushed to PHC Awora and later referred to PHC Saller. From there, doctors shifted him to GMC Anantnag for advanced treatment.

The injured boy has now been referred to SKIMS Soura in critical condition for specialized care. (JKNS)
