Srinagar, Sep 1 (JKNS): Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, on Monday reviewed the status of Srinagar Smart City projects and called for timely completion of the pending works.
Addressing officers during the meeting, Div Com Garg as per news agency JKNS said, “The aim of Smart City projects is to improve public services, and all planned works must be delivered on time.”
He noted that the deadline for the projects was approaching and urged executing agencies to speed up the pace. “As the timeline is gradually nearing, the works must be expedited to meet stipulated deadlines,” he stressed.
The Div Com further asked officials to resolve issues between departments without delay. “To achieve the established targets on time, officers must project inter-agency hurdles for early resolution and smooth execution of projects,” he said.
On the development of infrastructure for electric buses, Garg directed, “SSCL must take winter weather conditions into account while developing closed bus stops.”
He also instructed for “full operationalisation of ITMS cameras and other IT-related services of the ICCC at the earliest.”
Officials informed the meeting that out of 161 sanctioned projects, 153 have been completed, while work on 8 others is in progress.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner SMC Fazlul Haseeb, Chief Engineers of I&FC, KPDCL, PWD R&B, and SSCL, along with other senior officers. (JKNS)
