Kulgam, Sept 3 (JKNS): In a timely operation, Yaripora Police, led by the Station House Officer (SHO) Yaripora, in coordination with Ocaps Yaripora, rescued several nomadic families trapped in floodwaters at Tengjan area of Yaripora in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS stated that the Heavy rainfall over the past hours caused a sudden rise in water levels, leaving the nomadic population vulnerable in the low-lying Tengjan belt. Acting swiftly, the police team and Ocaps volunteers evacuated the stranded families to safer locations, preventing any loss of life or major damage.
Locals hailed the efforts of Yaripora Police and Ocaps Yaripora for their quick response and humanitarian assistance during the crisis. (JKNS)
