Sopore, Sep 12 (JKNS): Sopore Police on Friday said it arrested two drug peddlers during a naka checking operation in Bismillah Colony and recovered psychotropic substances from their possession.
Police spokesperson in a statement issued here to news agency JKNS reads, Sopore Police today apprehended two drug peddlers during a naka checking operation at Bismillah Colony near Baba Motors, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Sopore, it reads.
The accused have been identified as, Zubair Ahmad Shalla, son of Gh. Nabi Shalla, resident of Sadeeq Colony Sopore and Burhan Ayoub Dar, son of Mohd. Ayoub Dar, resident of Muzbugh Fruitmandi Sopore, statement reads.
On their personal search, psychotropic substance Spasmo Proxyvon Plus capsules were recovered from their possession.
Accordingly, FIR No. 187/2025 under sections 8/22–29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sopore, and investigation is underway to identify their source and wider network, it reads.
