Srinagar, Sep 17 (JKNS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a series of blood donation camps across Kashmir to commemorate the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his lifelong spirit of selfless service to the nation.

The campaign in Kashmir was led by Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organization), J&K BJP, which witnessed an overwhelming response with over 600 units of blood donated across nine districts of Kashmir.

Ashok Koul, along with General Secretary Anwar Khan, Prabhari Baramulla Bilal Parray, District President Baramulla Ghulam Hassan Dar, Mir Mushtaq, and Dr. Farida, inaugurated one of the prominent blood donation camps at Dak Bangalow, Baramulla. He lauded the enthusiasm of party workers, youth, and volunteers for contributing to this noble cause.

In Central Kashmir, 80 units were collected in Srinagar, more than 30 units in Ganderbal, and 53 units in Budgam. South Kashmir witnessed 20 units in Pulwama, 42 in Shopian, 20 in Kulgam, and 80 in Anantnag.

In North Kashmir, 50 units were donated in Baramulla and 48 in Bandipora. Additionally, BJP Yuva Morcha contributed 38 units, while the Minority Morcha organized special drives collecting nearly 150 units of blood.

Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Koul emphasized the importance of blood donation as an act of humanity that saves countless lives.

He said that there can be no greater tribute to our hardworking and humble Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday than this act of service.

He said that just as Modiji has dedicated his life to serving people with compassion and humility, today we, through this blood donation, reaffirm our resolve to stand by every needy person. Blood donation is not only a gift of life but also a reflection of our collective duty towards society, he said. (JKNS)
