Srinagar, Sep 19 (JKNS): Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, on Friday assured that the ongoing fuel shortage will be resolved by this evening with essential commodities moving smoothly across the Valley.
Speaking to reporters at NIT Srinagar, Garg as per news agency JKNS said that highways have been restored at crucial stretches, ensuring uninterrupted passage for vehicles. He noted that during the past four days, more than 5,000 fruit-laden trucks were cleared via the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway and Mughal Road.
The Divisional Commissioner added that petrol, diesel, LPG and other supplies are now reaching the Valley without hindrance, and both the National Highway and Mughal Road remain open for traffic in both directions.
Garg appealed to people not to indulge in panic buying, stressing that stockpiling creates unnecessary pressure. He assured that all shortages would be addressed shortly. —(JKNS
