92-BN CRPF 6-Day ‘Bharat Darshan’ Tour for Kashmiri Girl Students Concludes

Kupwara, Sep 28 (JKNS): The 92 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Wadoora, has organised a 6-Days “Bharat Darshan” (Know Your Country) tour for girl students from North Kashmir under its civic action programme which concluded on Sunday.

As per news agency JKNS, 20 girl students from PD Handwara, along with two teachers representing Handwara Zone, Vilgam Zone and Rajwar Zone of Kupwara district, were selected for the tour. The trip commenced on September 23 and concluded today, with the group returning safely.

The initiative aims to familiarise Kashmiri students with India’s cultural heritage and geographic diversity, instilling a sense of national pride and inspiring them to become “ambassadors of peace”.

Parents, students and teachers expressed gratitude to Commandant Shri Naresh Kumar, DC Neeraj Kumar, AC Sudhir Sonavale, AC Ashutosh Kumar and the entire 92-BN CRPF team for facilitating the tour.

Notably, this was the first time that these girls travelled outside Jammu and Kashmir.

Destinations Covered, The itinerary included major historical and cultural landmarks in New Delhi, Agra and Mumbai:

In New Delhi, Jama Masjid, Lotus Temple, Red Fort, Metro Ride. In Agra, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, Itimad-ud-Daulah Tomb, Sheesh Mahal, Sikandara. In Mumbai, Gateway of India, Hotel Taj, Marine Drive, Film City, Chhatrapati Shivaji Museum, Aquarium, Haji Ali, Bandra-Worli Sea Link, Nehru Planetarium.

Students described the experience as exciting and memorable.

Apart from educational tours, CRPF continues to run welfare schemes in Kashmir, including the Madadgaar Helpline 14411 for health assistance and free medicines. Yearly medical camps are also organised across the Valley for the benefit of local communities.

The force reiterated its commitment to strengthening bonds with the people through such initiatives. (JKNS
