Tangdar, Sept 29 (JKNS): A warm farewell was accorded to Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Karnah, Zaffar Ahmad Lone, at Dak Bungalow Tangdar, organized by the Karnah administration.
The programme began at the Mini Secretariat Karnah and was graced by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara as the Chief Guest.
The event witnessed the presence of ADC Kupwara, ADC Handwara, SDM Lolab, Commander 104 Shakti Vijay Brigade, Deputy Commander Shakti Vijay Brigade, heads of various departments including R&B, Agriculture, Education, Forest, PDD, Tehsildar Karnah, SHO Karnah, Chowki Officer Tad, ZEO Tangdar, Range Officer Karnah, and others.
Representatives of Beopar Mandal led by its President Haji Tasleem, media fraternity, and Ex-Servicemen Association President also participated.
Speaking on the occasion, ADC Kupwara highlighted the dedicated services of SDM Karnah and motivated officers to work with sincerity and commitment for public welfare. DC Kupwara, in his address, lauded the tenure of Zaffar Ahmad Lone, describing him as a people-friendly officer who worked tirelessly for the development of Karnah.
Commander 104 Shakti Vijay Brigade also spoke on the occasion, appreciating the cordial civil-military relations maintained under the SDM’s leadership. Beopar Mandal President Haji Tasleem praised the officer’s efforts in addressing public issues and fostering strong community ties.
