Srinagar, Oct 18 (JKNS): In a groundbreaking achievement, Jammu and Kashmir Police officer Mohammad Yaseen Kichloo (IPS) has become the first from the force to receive a patent in the field of cyber and virtual technology.
As per news agency JKNS, the innovation, titled “A System for Providing Secure Identity Authentication on Virtual Tourism Platforms and A Method of Secure Authentication Thereof” (Patent No. 572210), was officially granted on October 16, 2025.
The patent introduces a cutting-edge system for quantum-secure identity verification in virtual tourism platforms, a leap forward in ensuring safety and trust in digital and metaverse-based environments.
Developed jointly with Prof. (Dr.) Sat Prakash Bansal, Prof. (Dr.) Suman Sharma, Dr. Parveen Sadotra, and Ms. Rabia Koser, the innovation marks a major step toward integrating advanced technology with secure user authentication systems.
Officer Kichloo’s achievement has been hailed as a proud moment for the Jammu and Kashmir Police, reflecting the force’s growing contribution to cybersecurity, digital transformation, and national innovation initiatives. (JKNS)
