Srinagar, Oct 18 (JKNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who is on an official visit to Kalmykia, Russia, led the Indian delegation in paying homage to the sacred relics of Lord Buddha at the Geden Sheddup Choikorling Monastery in Elista.
According to the Office of the J&K Lieutenant Governor, as per news agency JKNS, the relics were brought from India for a special week-long exposition before being ceremoniously enshrined in the monastery.
“I paid obeisance to the sacred relics of Lord Buddha and prayed for peace, prosperity, and stronger spiritual ties among people,” the LG said.
The visit marks a moment of deep cultural and spiritual connection between India and the Republic of Kalmykia. (JKNS)
