Sopore, Oct 18 (JKNS): In a major relief for residents of Rafiabad, the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Dangiwacha has started Sunday laboratory services, ensuring better access to essential medical testing for the local community.
As per news agency JKNS, the new service, operating every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., was introduced under the supervision of Block Medical Officer (BMO) Dr. Irfan Ahmad Zargar. The decision fulfills a long-pending demand from locals who had been facing difficulties due to limited lab hours and non-availability of technicians on weekends.
“All kinds of lab tests including CBC, KFT, LFT, urine examination, and Troponin-T will now be available on Sundays,” said Dr. Zargar. “Our aim is to make healthcare more accessible and dependable for the people of Rafiabad, Dangiwacha, and adjoining areas.”
Residents have widely appreciated the initiative, calling it a much-needed step to reduce healthcare-related inconvenience and expenses. The move is expected to ease patient load during weekdays and enhance trust in public healthcare facilities.
Locals and civil society members have lauded Dr. Zargar and the PHC staff for their proactive approach and commitment to improving rural health infrastructure. — (JKNS)
