Empowering Girls Through Sports: 161 Bn CRPF Encourages Badminton Culture at GHSS Palpora

Srinagar, Oct 22 (JKNS): In a significant step towards encouraging sports and fitness among young girls, badminton kits were distributed to the students of Government Higher Secondary School, Palpora, Srinagar on Wednesday.

This initiative aims to foster interest in badminton and provide the necessary equipment to support the students especially girls in pursuing the sport actively.

The event was held at the school premises, under the aegis of Sh Balihar Singh, Commandant, 161 Bn, CRPF handed over badminton kits comprising rackets, shuttlecocks, and sports gear to the enthusiastic participants. Earlier, on 15th August this year 161 Bn, CRPF donated complete sports equipment set of Volleyball and conducted Tiranga Yatra with the students of the same school. The program reflects the commitment to empowering girls through sports and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle. The students were excited and motivated to make the best use of the kits and excel in badminton.

This initiative is part of 161 Bn CRPF, as a larger effort to encourage sports participation among young girls and build a strong foundation for future players.
