Budgam, Oct 23 (JKNS): BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Thursday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are firmly committed to restoring Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood at an appropriate time.
Addressing reporters in Jammu, Chugh as per news agency JKNS accused National Conference vice president and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah of misleading the people on the statehood issue.
He alleged that despite being out of power, Omar continues to exert influence over certain sections of the administration.
Chugh asserted that the BJP-led government remains focused on ensuring peace, stability, and rapid development in the Union Territory.
He added that the Centre’s policies are aimed at empowering grassroots democracy and strengthening public welfare. (JKNS)
