Srinagar, Oct 27 (JKNS): In a significant development, a five-member high-level team deputed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Airport Authority of India (AAI) will arrive in Kishtwar on a two-day visit to assess the proposal for developing an airport under the UDAN scheme.
Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Jitendra Singh, shared the update on X as per news agency JKNS, stating that the team will evaluate the current status and feasibility of the project. Upon returning to Delhi, the members will submit a detailed report to higher authorities, based on which the future roadmap will be finalized.
Dr. Singh noted that this initiative reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s special focus on the development of remote and far-flung regions, adding that every proposal for Kishtwar’s progress has received positive consideration from the Centre. (JKNS)
