Srinagar, Oct 30 (JKNS): The Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has directed that key Home Department offices will function from both Srinagar and Jammu during the winter season 2025-26.
According to Government Order No. 522-Home of 2025 as per news agency JKNS, offices including Police Headquarters, Prisons Headquarters, Directorate of Prosecution, Police Housing Corporation, Fire & Emergency Services, Forensic Science Laboratory, Sainik Welfare, Defence Labour Procurement, and Homeguards, Civil Defence & SDRF will operate from both locations.
Heads of Departments have been asked to make arrangements ensuring officers and staff are available at both offices to facilitate uninterrupted administrative operations.
The directive follows a reference from Police Headquarters, J&K, issued on October 18, 2025. (JKNS)
