Srinagar, Nov 2 (JKNS): Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, praised the J&K Police personnel for their exceptional service during Operation Mahadev, following which they were awarded the prestigious Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak 2025.
In a post on X, office of J&K LG as per news agency JKNS wrote, “Every Indian is proud of our J&K Police personnel, who have been awarded ‘Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak’ 2025 for successfully executing their mission ‘Op Mahadev’.”
The LG extended his congratulations to the awardees, adding, “My hearty congratulations to the recipients. Your valour and indomitable courage continue to inspire the people.”
The recognition comes in the wake of the Jammu and Kashmir Police team’s key role in avenging the Pahalgam terror attack. The award honours the bravery, dedication, and professionalism of the officers, including senior officials and frontline staff, IGP Kashmir Vidhi Kumar Birdi, DIG Pande Rajiv Omprakash, SSP Srinagar G.V. Sundeep Chakraborty, SPs Tanweer Ahmed Dar and Zoheb Tanveer, DSPs Vikram Nag, Shakir Hassan, Mubashir Naiz, Taseer Hamid, along with other officers, constables, and technical personnel who played a pivotal role in the operation.
The accolade underscores the commitment of J&K Police to safeguarding peace, security, and stability in the region. (JKNS)
