Srinagar, Nov 2 (JKNS): Nearly 95,000 candidates are set to appear for the Class 10th annual examinations beginning November 3, with 994 examination centres established across Kashmir Division and winter zones of Jammu Division to ensure smooth and fair conduct, officials said.
The J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has made extensive arrangements to maintain transparency and integrity during the exams, deploying centre superintendents, supervisory staff, and vigilance squads for random checks. Special instructions have been issued to safeguard the sanctity of exams and to treat candidates respectfully.
As per news agency JKNS, Of the total students, 68,804 belong to 10 districts of Kashmir Division, 25,224 from winter zone areas of 8 districts in Jammu Division, while 660 from Kargil and 95 from Leh are also appearing. Examinations will be held from 11 AM to 2 PM.
District administrations have been requested to impose restrictions under Section 163 BNSS to prevent any external interference. Students have also been advised to wear warm clothing, especially in remote and hilly areas, due to the dip in temperatures.(JKNS)
