Budgam, Nov 5 (JKNS): Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Tuesday launched a strong attack on what he described as the “culture of political excuses,” asserting that it is a matter of shame if any government claims it lacks powers to serve the people.
Addressing a party convention in Budgam, Bukhari as per news agency JKNS said that those in authority must take full responsibility for governance rather than shifting blame.
“Governments are formed to serve the people, not to complain about the lack of powers. It is shameful for any administration to make such excuses,” Bukhari told reporters.
In a pointed jibe at traditional political families, Bukhari remarked, “One family has three candidates one in the BJP, one in the PDP, and one in the NC,” which, he said, exposes that their politics is centered on power rather than public service.
Reiterating Apni Party’s commitment to transparency and accountability, Bukhari said the party envisions a system where institutions work for ordinary citizens instead of privileged circles. He urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir to reject “family-driven politics” and support those genuinely dedicated to development, dignity, and public service. (JKNS)
