Sopore Police Celebrates Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th Birth Anniversary with ‘Night Folk Drama’ and ‘Run for Unity

Sopore, Nov 6 (JKNS): In commemoration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Sopore Police organised a “Night Folk Drama” programme at Bomai, Sopore, under the theme “Unity, Security, and Service.”

As per news agency JKNS, The event is part of a series of initiatives by Sopore Police, which also include public outreach programmes, blood donation camps, awareness drives, cultural events, and community engagement activities.

As part of the celebrations, Bomai Police presented a special Kashmiri skit titled “Kashmiri Band Pather”, performed by a group of elderly artists from the Bomai Lukh Theater. The skit highlighted the life, leadership, and dedication of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, emphasizing his contributions to society and nation-building.

The programme was attended by Tehsildar Bomai Zahid Rashid (KAS), DYSP (OPS) Wadoora Gurpreet Singh (KPS), Civil Society Bomai Chairman Mohd Ramzan, Advocate Muzaffar, along with local officials including ASI Gh Mohd, PSI Aasif Iqbal, PSI Vishal Digra, and members of the local populace.

The event was widely appreciated for promoting awareness about national unity and community participation through cultural and civic engagement. (JKNS)
