Srinagar, Oct 20 (JKNS): Night temperatures plummeted across Jammu & Kashmir, with several parts of the Valley recording sub-zero conditions, the Meteorological Centre Srinagar said on friday.
As per details availablewith news agency JKNS, Srinagar registered a minimum temperature of 0.2°C, while Qazigund recorded –0.3°C and Pahalgam dipped to –3.0°C. Gulmarg also witnessed a sharp fall, settling at –2.6°C, whereas Kupwara recorded –0.7°C, Kukernag 1.6°C, and Konibal –1.8°C.
In the Jammu division, temperatures remained comparatively mild. Jammu city recorded 11.6°C, Banihal 8.8°C, Batote 6.1°C, Katra 12.1°C, Bhaderwah 4.5°C, and Kathua 12.8°C.
The MET department said colder nights are expected to continue over the next few days. (JKNS)
