New Delhi, Nov 10 (JKNS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that multiple central and Delhi agencies are jointly investigating the Red Fort blast, assuring that no line of inquiry is being ignored.
According to the Home Minister’s remarks to news wire ANI, as per news agency JKNS, the explosion took place around 7 pm when a Hyundai i20 car suddenly blew up at the Subhash Marg signal near the Red Fort, leaving several pedestrians injured and causing damage to nearby vehicles. Initial assessments indicate that fatalities have also been reported, he said.
Shah stated that minutes after the blast, units from the Delhi Crime Branch and Special Branch reached the location. Teams from the National Security Guard (NSG), National Investigation Agency (NIA), and FSL experts later joined the investigation.
He said the authorities have been directed to collect and examine CCTV coverage from all surrounding areas to trace the cause and sequence of events.
Shah added that he has been in constant communication with the Delhi Police Commissioner and the Special Branch head, both monitoring the situation from the spot.
“We are conducting a comprehensive investigation. Every possibility is under scrutiny, and once we complete the process, the details will be made public,” the Home Minister said.
He further informed that he will personally visit the site and the hospital to take stock of the situation. (JKNS)
