Srinagar, Nov 11 (JKNS): Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar and GMC Anantnag on Tuesday directed all faculty members, HoDs, paramedical staff and students to label their lockers with complete identification details by November 14, warning that unclaimed lockers will be removed after inspection.
As per a circular issued by the Administrator of Associated Hospitals Srinagar, as per news agency JKNS, all lockers in SMHS Hospital and GMC premises must be marked with the name, designation and code of the user. Officials have been asked to conduct a corridor-wise inspection after the deadline.
The circular states that Medical Superintendents of SMHS Hospital, RMOs of all floors and the Estates-cum-Transport Officer of GMC Srinagar will identify and remove surplus or unclaimed lockers occupying space in hospital and college corridors.
It further cautions that no employee will be permitted to claim a locker that remains unidentified after November 14, directing Section Officers, Estates Section and Accounts Wing not to issue any LPC, NOC or service book during transfers unless the concerned employee’s locker is formally handed over.
In a separate notice issued by the Medical Superintendent GMC Anantnag, HoDs have been asked to identify all lockers and almiras in their respective departments and paste the names of staff members to whom they are allotted. Any locker or almirah without an owner must be reported to the office immediately.
The instructions aim to decongest hospital corridors and maintain orderly space management across GMC Srinagar, SMHS Hospital and GMC Anantnag. (JKNS)
