Karnah, Nov 16 (JKNS): In a tragic incident reported last evening, the residential house of Fakhrat Begum, widow of the late Riyaz Ahmad Mughal and a resident of Prarah Karnah, was completely destroyed in a devastating fire. The impoverished widow had been living in the house along with her six minor children, for whom it served as their only shelter.

According to local residents, the fire broke out suddenly and engulfed the entire structure within moments. All household belongings, including clothing, utensils, bedding, and other essential items, were reduced to ashes, leaving the family with nothing but the clothes they were wearing.

Residents of the area expressed deep sorrow over the incident, stating that Fakhrat Begum and her six young children are now entirely homeless and without any support. The calamity has left them exposed to harsh conditions with no immediate place to take refuge.

Local inhabitants have appealed to the district administration, social and political organizations, and philanthropists to extend urgent assistance to the affected family. They stressed the need for immediate provision of temporary shelter, food supplies, clothing, and other basic necessities, as well as long-term support to help the family rebuild their lives.

The community hopes that timely intervention will offer relief to the distressed family and prevent further hardship for the vulnerable children.(JKNS)
