Srinagar, Nov 17 (JKNS): In a landmark achievement for Jammu & Kashmir, Aarbeena Altaf scripted history by securing the region’s first-ever Gold Medal in the Girls’ Taekwondo category at the 69th National School Games.
As per news agency JKNS, Despite carrying an injury, Aarbeena delivered a commanding performance, displaying remarkable courage and resilience to clinch the top podium finish. Her stellar victory has been widely celebrated across J&K’s sports fraternity.
Congratulating the young champion, Director General Youth Services and Sports, J&K, Anuradha Gupta, said Aarbeena’s achievement stands as a shining example of pure determination. “Heartiest congratulations to Aarbeena for this historic achievement. Your gold medal is a true example of your grit and will. Your win is inspiring,” she said.
Aarbeena was trained under the guidance of renowned coach Atul Pangotra, whose mentorship played a vital role in her triumph at the national stage.
