CRPF Cup 2025: High-Scoring Matches and Dominant Wins Mark Day 2 in Srinagar

Srinagar, Nov 23 (JKNS): The Day 2 of the 3rd Edition CRPF Cup 2025 witnessed eight thrilling matches marked by impressive all-round performances and decisive victories in 4 venues across Srinagar.

Rising Star Kralpora registered a commanding 10-wicket win, chasing down Sky Breezers Sumbal’s score of 90 all out in just 8.4 overs without losing a wicket at Sher -e-Kashmir Ground B. Fahad was named Player of the Match for a rapid-fire 55 off 32 balls and a tidy bowling spell.

Murrad 7th Street Srinagar dominated both their fixtures, posting massive totals of 251/8 and 313/6, and registering victories by 196 and 207 runs over Royal Spartans Wathooora and Buraq Cricket Club respectively at DPS Pantha Chowk. Irfan Mir emerged as the standout player with scores of 76 off 33 balls and an unbeaten 128, complemented by excellent bowling figures in both matches.

The Real Sultan Sumerbugh secured an 18-run win over Diamond Cricket Club at Sher -e-Kashmir Ground A with Amir Sofi earning Player of the Match for his 58 runs and 1 wicket.

MLA Gymkhana Budgam convincingly defeated Kashmir Warriors by 104 runs at Sher -e-Kashmir Ground B, bolstered by Safdar Ali’s remarkable 8-wicket haul in just 4 overs, earning him Player of the Match award.

Red Lines Nunnar pulled off a 23-run victory against Shahzaib Cricket Club at Kashmir University, highlighted by the bowling performance of Bhat Asif Falcon, who claimed 4 wickets for 12 runs in his 4 overs.

Young Stars XI celebrated a 114-run win against Sky Breezers Sumbal at Sher -e-Kashmir Ground A with Arshad Bhat lauded for his three-wicket spell and a calm finish.

These matches showcased the high level of competition and sporting spirit among all teams. CRPF commends the exemplary performances and enthusiasm displayed on the field, as anticipation builds for the upcoming matches of the league stage. Top two teams from each group will qualify for the quarter finals on November 26 2025. (JKNS)
