Srinagar, Nov 29 (JKNS): A pre-dawn fire incident struck the OPD block of JVC Hospital Bemina on Saturday morning, causing damage to several sections of the building, officials said.
An official told news agency JKNS that, the fire started around 0500 hours, affecting five rooms, including faculty rooms, the Orthopaedic office, and the Ophthalmology office. The blaze also resulted in damage to other office spaces and hospital property.
Fire and Emergency Services teams reached the hospital shortly after the incident and successfully contained the flames, preventing them from spreading further.
An official said that no injuries or casualties have been reported.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be established, and an inquiry is underway. (JKNS)
