Budgam, Dec 1 (JKNS): Budgam Police conducted Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings at Police Stations Charar-i-Shareif, Beerwah and Police Posts Soibugh, Narbal, Mouchwa, Hardupanzo and Humhama to strengthen police public cooperation.
The meetings were chaired by the respective jurisdictional police officers and attended by prominent citizens, including members of market associations, Auqaf bodies, chowkidars, Numberdars and other representatives from adjoining areas.
Participants raised several public issues, including drinking water shortages, electricity, traffic congestion and the need for youth counselling.
The chairing officers assured that all genuine concerns would be taken up with the relevant departments for prompt redressal and that police-related issues would be resolved at the earliest.
Citizens were urged to cooperate with police in maintaining law and order and in identifying anti-national and anti-social elements who attempt to disturb the peaceful environment.
The officers reiterated the police’s commitment to eliminating drug abuse from the district and encouraged participants to support ongoing efforts to make Budgam a drug-free district.
The attendees appreciated Budgam Police for facilitating such community interaction programmes that allow open and constructive dialogue. (JKNS)
