Devsar Dec 4 (JKNS): Member Legislative Assembly Devsar Peerzada Feroz Ahmad Shah today distributed cheques under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) among deserving beneficiaries at a function held at Townhall Devsar.
As per news agency JKNS, The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, beneficiaries, and officials of the Rural Development Department. While distributing the cheques, the MLA interacted with the beneficiaries and assured them of continuous support in securing basic amenities and dignified housing.
Talking to the media on the occasion, Peerzada Feroz Ahmad Shah said that the government is fully committed to ensuring “Housing for All”. He stated that PMAY has brought a ray of hope for thousands of underprivileged families by enabling them to build permanent shelters. He also emphasised that transparency and timely delivery of welfare schemes remain the government’s top priority.
The MLA further added that development works across the Devsar constituency are being accelerated to uplift the living standards of the people.
Expressing their gratitude, the beneficiaries thanked the government and the local MLA for the timely financial assistance, terming the initiative a life-changing step for their families.
Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Devsar, Irfan Ahmad, who was also present on the occasion, briefed the gathering about the PMAY scheme and its benefits. (JKNS)
