Srinagar, Dec 5 (JKNS): National Conference MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi on Friday paid rich tributes to Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah on his 120th birth anniversary, recalling the late leader’s lifelong dedication to justice and the rights of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
In a post on X, the office of MP Ruhullah, as per JKNS, wrote that Sheikh Abdullah’s political journey symbolised courage, resilience, and an unshakable commitment to public welfare.
Ruhullah noted that Sheikh Sahib spent his entire life challenging oppression and confronting systems that exploited common people. His leadership, he said, embodied the collective aspirations and dignity of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
He added that it is the responsibility of the present generation to uphold the values Sheikh Abdullah stood for and to continue the mission he and his colleagues devoted their lives to.
Ruhullah said the day should inspire a renewed commitment to unity, justice, and democratic rights, ensuring that the ideals of Baba-e-Qoum remain guiding principles for the future. (JKNS)
