Anantnag, Dec 5 (JKNS): Authorities have attached a Gram Rozgar Sahayak (GRS) from Block Dachnipora after allegations surfaced regarding irregularities in the recording of MGNREGA workers’ attendance through the NMMS App.

As per an order issued by the Assistant Commissioner Development (ADPC) Anantnag, Shri Muzafar Hussain Shah as per news agency JKNS, GRS of Panchayat Halqa Kanelwan Upper, has been shifted to the office of the ADPC with immediate effect.

The action follows a communication from the Block Development Officer (BDO) Dachnipora, highlighting possible procedural lapses in attendance uploads under the MGNREGA scheme.

The order directs the BDO to, Reset any incorrect or fictitious attendance entries on the MIS portal to zero. Submit a detailed action taken report to the district office. Conduct a discreet enquiry into the matter and send comprehensive comments or recommendations by 10 December 2025.

Additionally, the honorarium of the concerned GRS has been withheld until further instructions.
