Srinagar, Dec 6 (JKNS): As confusion continues to grow among JKAS aspirants, the Office of the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday clarified that several circulating social media posts regarding the JKPSC Prelims are “misleading,” stressing that the age-relaxation file sent by the elected government was acted upon the same day but remains pending due to lack of response from the other side.
In a post on X, the Office of LG J&K, quoting news agency JKNS, said that Lok Bhavan received the age-relaxation file on 2 December 2025, which exclusively dealt with the proposal for upper-age relief.
The statement said the file was returned the same day with a query asking whether it was practically possible to conduct the Prelims on 7 December after altering eligibility criteria at such a late stage. “Even after four days, Lok Bhavan has not received any reply. I fully sympathize with the young aspirants,” the post read.
The LG’s office also reminded that the JKPSC issued the advertisement for the exam on 22 August 2025, while the examination date was notified on 6 November 2025 for conduct on 7 December 2025. (JKNS)
