Srinagar, Dec 9 (JKNS): Rozy Qureshi, a seasoned educationist and veteran principal with rich administrative experience, has formally assumed the charge as Principal of Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Rainawari, following her recent appointment by the School Education Department, Jammu & Kashmir.
At the time of assuming charge, all faculty members were present, marking the occasion with warmth and enthusiasm. Soon after, the newly appointed Principal convened an introductory meeting with the entire teaching and non-teaching staff, where she held detailed discussions on academic planning, discipline, and overall institutional growth.
Addressing the staff, Rozy Qureshi emphasized collective responsibility and academic excellence, stating, “We will work jointly with dedication and commitment to ensure quality education in this institution. Every possible effort will be made for the effective implementation of all academic courses and co-curricular activities.”
She further appealed to parents of the surrounding areas including Mir Behri-Dal, Saidakadal,Rainawari, Hazratbal, and Nigeen, to actively enroll their daughters in GHSS Rainawari and benefit from the institution’s facilities and academic environment.
“Parents must come forward and enroll their children here to help us shape a brighter and stronger future for our students,” she added.
It is pertinent to mention that GHSS Rainawari is strategically located at a central point between Lal Chowk and the revered Hazratbal Shrine in Srinagar, making it easily accessible. The school enjoys a strong reputation for delivering quality education, supported by ample infrastructure including a large playground and easy access from the main Saidakadal road.
Meanwhile, the School Education Department, Jammu & Kashmir, has recently ordered the transfer and posting of several principals across the Union Territory, a move widely appreciated as a positive and timely initiative to fill vacant leadership positions and strengthen the academic administration.
