KU to Hold 21st Convocation in Last Week of December; Online Registration Mandatory by Dec 23

Srinagar, Dec 17 (JKNS): The University of Kashmir (KU) will hold its 21st Convocation in the last week of December 2025 at the Convocation Complex, Hazratbal, to confer degrees on eligible scholars and honour meritorious students with medals and cash prizes.

According to a notice issued by the University as per news agency JKNS, students who have been declared qualified for the award of Ph.D, M.Phil, and MD/MS Diplomas in Anesthesiology, Ophthalmology and Gynecology since the last Convocation held on October 11, 2023, will be admitted for the conferment of degrees.

In addition, meritorious candidates securing first position in various undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and honours examinations conducted between October 2023 and November 2025 will also be admitted to the Convocation for the award of Gold and Silver Medals along with cash prizes.

The University has directed all eligible candidates to register online through the official University website by submitting the prescribed form along with a fee of Rs 300 on or before December 23, 2025. It has been made clear that unregistered candidates will not be allowed to attend the Convocation.

The University further said that special identity cards will be prepared for registered candidates and additional instructions will be notified separately on the University website. (JKNS)
