Srinagar, Dec 26 (JKNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir Spokesperson, Manzoor Bhat, today expressed deep shock and heart wrenching grief over the tragic death of Advocate Sheikh Aadil Nabi, a resident of Kandipora Bijbehara, who lost his life following a devastating road accident at Banihal.

In his condolence message, Manzoor Bhat described the late Advocate as a brilliant legal mind and a dedicated professional who was serving as a Public Prosecutor with the CBI in Delhi. The loss of such a young, talented, and promising soul is not just a loss for his family but a loss for the entire legal fraternity and our society. My heart goes out to his father, Jinab Ghulam Nabi Sheikh, and the bereaved family in this hour of inconsolable grief,” Bhat said.

Referring to reports and CCTV footage of the incident Manzoor Bhat raised serious concerns over the growing menace of reckless and irresponsible driving on our highways.

It is deeply disturbing to see footage where a law abiding driver is targeted by the sheer negligence of another. A vehicle in the hands of an irresponsible driver becomes a weapon. This is not just a ‘mishap it is a result of a total disregard for human life. We cannot allow our highways to become graveyards due to the arrogance and carelessness of a few Bhat emphasized.

Bhat called for increased surveillance and stricter enforcement of traffic laws on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway to curb over-speeding and negligent driving. He appealed to the youth and all drivers to value the lives of others, reminding everyone that speed thrills but kills, and that safety must be the absolute priority.

Manzoor Bhat prayed for the departed soul to find eternal peace in Jannat-ul-Firdous and for the family to find the strength to bear this irreparable loss. (JKNS)
