Baramulla, Dec 29 (JKNS): In the wake of an unauthorized trekking incident in the Danwas forest area, Baramulla Police has enforced fresh restrictions on trekking in the upper forest reaches of Tangmarg, issuing a safety advisory aimed at preventing security complications and ensuring public safety in sensitive zones.

Police spokepserson in a statement issued here to news agency JKNS, Baramulla Police has issued a safety advisory following an unauthorized trekking incident in the Danwas forest area on December 21.

Statement reads, To ensure public safety and prevent security misunderstandings, the following rules are now in effect, Local Residents, Must seek the requisite permissions from local authorities and inform the local police or administration before entering upper forest reaches.

Non-Local Tourists, Entry and trekking in upper forest areas are strictly prohibited under all circumstances, it reads.

Baramulla Police urges the public to cooperate with these instructions to maintain a secure environment and avoid untoward incidents, the statement reads. (JKNS)
