Anantnag, Jan 1 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) has nominated Maroof Bhawani as the Vice President of the YNC for district Anantnag, marking a significant addition to the party’s grassroots leadership in south Kashmir.
An MBA postgraduate and an entrepreneur, Maroof Bhawani is widely regarded as a well-connected grassroots leader who has consistently worked to strengthen the party at the local level. His nomination comes in the backdrop of the National Conference recently restructuring its Youth NC leadership, as part of efforts to energise the organisation at the grassroots.
Hailing from Doru Shahabad in Anantnag district, Maroof has been associated with the National Conference for over a decade and has remained at the forefront of organisational activities, particularly in mobilising youth and strengthening the party’s base.
Expressing gratitude to the party leadership for entrusting him with the responsibility, Maroof Bhawani said he would continue to work diligently to strengthen the National Conference at the grassroots level and serve the people in line with the party’s vision and principles. (JKNS)
