Kulgam Police Locate Missing Woman After Weeks, Restore Her to Family

Kulgam, Jan 3 (JKNS): Kulgam Police have successfully traced a woman who had been missing since mid-November and reunited her with her family, bringing relief to her relatives after weeks of uncertainty.

Police Spokesperson in a statement issued here to news agency JKNS, On 26.11.2025, Police station Kulgam received a written complaint from Waseem Ahmad Wani stating therein that his spouse namely Bisma Jan is missing from her rented room at Amnoo, Kulgam from 17th November, 2025.

Accordingly, a missing report was lodged in Police Station Kulgam and investigation was initiated.

Subsequently, massive search was launched by a police team under the guidance/supervision of DySP HQRS Kulgam and SHO Police Station Kulgam, it reads.

After strenuous efforts and utilising all available technical/human resources the said lady was traced from Jalandar Punjab. After completion of all legal/medical formality the said lady was handed over to her relatives, it reads.

Family members of the traced missing lady have applauded the efforts by kulgam police for prompt response in tracing her out, reads the statement. (JKNS)
