Ganderbal, Jan 5 (JKNS): A devastating fire incident occurred late last night in Bakshi Mohalla, Pahilpora area of Ganderbal which is also Last Village Ganderbal District resulting in extensive damage to a poultry farm and a cowshed.
As per news agency JKNS, The fire reduced the structures to ashes and caused massive financial losses to the affected families.
The fire victims said that property and equipment worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed in the blaze. They further stated that thousands of chicks kept in the poultry farm were also burnt alive, worsening their economic condition.
The affected families have appealed to the district administration for immediate assistance, stating that their financial condition is very weak.
They urged the authorities to extend necessary help and compensation so that they can rebuild and rehabilitate their livelihoods at the earliest. (JKNS)
