Jammu, Jan 7 (JKNS): A female officer of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS), Ms Sapna, passed away on Wednesday after a prolonged illness, official sources said.
Ms Sapna was serving as Assistant Labour Commissioner with the J&K Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCWWB).
She had earlier served as Assistant Labour Commissioner, Jammu, during which she was associated with several labour welfare-related assignments.
Belonging to the 2015 batch of JKAS, she was regarded as a dedicated officer and had been undergoing treatment for a long time, sources added.
Her demise has created a void in the administrative setup of the Labour and Employment Department. (JKNS)
