Srinagar, Jan 14 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Wednesday once again demonstrated administrative efficiency by declaring the Class 10th and Class 12th results on the same day, successfully maintaining a streak it had set last year.
As per news agency JKNS, For the second consecutive year, JKBOSE released both major board examination results together, a move widely welcomed by students, parents and academic circles. Last year too, the Board had declared the Class 10th and 12th results on the same date, setting a new benchmark in result management.
Despite facing administrative challenges, including a brief period when the post of Chairman JKBOSE remained vacant, the Board ensured that the results were declared within the expected timeline. During this period, Secretary JKBOSE Ghulam Hassan Sheikh was given interim charge, under whose supervision the result process was streamlined and closely monitored.
Chairman JKBOSE Ghulam Hassan Sheikh said that the Board made all possible efforts to ensure timely declaration of results despite administrative constraints.
“We tried our best to declare the results within the scheduled time so that students do not suffer due to uncertainty. Our priority was to maintain transparency, accuracy and timeliness in the evaluation and result declaration process,” he said.
Though the Class 10th result witnessed a minor delay of a few days due to the temporary headless situation, officials said the overall schedule was largely adhered to, preventing any prolonged uncertainty for students.
Notably, news agency JKNS had exclusively reported on Monday that JKBOSE was set to declare both Class 10th and 12th results on Wednesday, January 14.
The report was confirmed by Education Minister Sakina Itoo, who, while speaking to JKNS, had affirmed that the results would be announced on Wednesday.
Education observers termed the timely declaration of results as a positive sign of institutional stability and coordination within JKBOSE, stating that maintaining such consistency reflects improved planning and accountability within the Board.
Students and parents expressed relief over the synchronized announcement, saying it helps in better academic planning and reduces prolonged anxiety associated with result delays.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah congratulated both Class 10th and 12th students on clearing the examinations. He lauded the outstanding performance of girl students, who secured a large share of merit positions in the Class 12 results.
The Chief Minister said the results reflect the growing importance of girls’ education in Jammu and Kashmir and the silent but strong support of parents who believe in educating their daughters. He also encouraged boys to remain resilient, continue striving and use the results as motivation for greater success ahead.
Education Minister Sakina Itoo, while congratulating the successful students, teachers and parents, termed the achievement a clear testimony to the Government’s unwavering commitment towards the holistic development of the education sector.
She said that consistent investments in infrastructure, teacher training, curriculum strengthening and student-centric initiatives are now translating into visible academic success.
